Ask anyone where to sample the best Tortellini di Valeggio, and they all agree: the Ristorante Alla Borsa. Locals and holidaymakers alike praise this restaurant, in particular its hand-made, paper-thin Nodi d´amore (love knots). This long-standing temple to food has always been known for its quality, not just when it comes to pasta. Booking ahead is recommended if you want to sample the delights of this family-run establishment, because it´s extremely popular with the locals, too.

cuisine: Each day the ladies in the kitchen get busy kneading and shaping tiny tortellini for the delight of the guests. They´ve been doing this here ever since 1959, the year when Alceste Pasqualini opened his trattoria in the old town centre of Valeggio. Guests have a choice of classic meat or pumpkin fillings as well as a range of seasonal alternatives. Not to be missed: the tasty Secondi and the delicious Dolci!
